The Louisiana Purchase
Well folks it's another beautiful day here in Pineville Louisiana. Camped out again last night in a very cool state park. We had our first campfire and our first encounter with nature. A raccoon got away with a bag of peanut butter m&ms. His loss though, when he got the bag to the top of the tree it ripped open and they all fell to the ground. Pretty funny. This morning was excellent. Eric slept in while I enjoyed a refreshing swim in a lake at the state park. I'm here now on location waiting for the right light. Thats it for now. I hope everyone is enjoying the blog. Signing off.
Close friend and fellow photographer, Eric Jennings, and I created the blog, Wake Up It’s Your Turn to Drive, during a photography assignment in 2010. Eric and I were hired by Inire Inc., a multimedia company out of Seoul, South Korea to document and photograph every Korean War Memorial in the United States and Canada. 2010 marked the 60th year anniversary of the Korean War and to show their appreciation to all who came to their aid, South Korea released a 3 book series of photographs documenting Korean War Memorials in allied countries around the world. The book is simply titled Korean War Memorials in Pictures.
The original purpose of this blog was to show the world a passenger seat view of the work we were doing and also our experiences as we traveled throughout North America. Eric and I were truly blessed to have been given such an amazing assignment. It was an eye opening experience for two burgeoning photographers. Wake Up It’s Your Turn to Drive is a blog about our adventures but also about our development in the profession of photography.
