Heading back east.... Joel

Hello everyone! This is joel coming to you from South Dakota. I never thought I'd say this but I am so happy to see some flat ground and a nice boring drive. These last few stretches through the mountains have been pretty ruff and stressful. Our last mountain pass was 12,000 feet above sea level and man was it snowing hard, and it's certainly not easy climbing that high in a car that weighs as much as mine does. While we were sitting in traffic in the pass we noticed they had closed it off and we had just barely made the cut off. I also had caught word from my friend Laura who lives near Vail Colorado that just behind us in the same pass was a 20 car pile up. CRAZY!! So I'm going to give a shout out to Nebraska here and say what a relief it was to see you. All is well and we are safe in South Dakota. I'm excited to reach Chicago hopefully by the weekend. We are heading east now for De Moines Iowa. Then it's up north to Minnesota. Keep on following as we get closer to home for a pick me up then it's off to the east coast.

Ciao

Harrington Shot-out

Hey everyone,

Since Joel and I both went to Harrington College of Design and they were nice enough to do a short little story on our adventure, we thought it would be cool for you guys to check out the story and the schools blog.

As far as our location, we are currently driving from Cedar City, Utah to Colorado Springs, Colorado. It's an 8 hour drive straight through the rocky mountains. The weather is sunny and 47 out but at 6000 feet above sea level, that wont last long. From Chicago to Colorado it has taken us 1 month and 9831 miles

Expect more updates from the other side of the mountain.

Eric
